1. Have a volunteer read I Peter 1:14-16.

a. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
b. What does it mean that God is Holy?
c. Personal Application : What motivates you to want to live a holy life? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your relatives states: “Is holiness the keeping of the law, or is it in loving others? How do we achieve a holy life?” How would you respond to your relatives?

2. Have a volunteer read I Corinthians 6:11, Hebrews 13:12..

a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
b. When you think of sanctification, do you think of a destination to reach or a journey we are on?
c. Personal Application : How can we overcome old deeply ingrained habits and develop new ones? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your friends states, “How do I get the victory over sin that is promised to me in the Bible? Have you gotten the victory over sin?” How would you respond to your friend?

3. Have a volunteer read Romans 7:12; I Timothy 1:8.

a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. How does the law reflect the character of God?
c. Personal Application: What are things in our lives that distract us from living holy lives? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your neighbors states, “How do we walk in the Spirit and fight the good fight of faith so that it leads us into holiness?” How would you respond to your neighbor?

4. Have a volunteer read Ephesians 4:22-24.

a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. How do we become renewed in the Spirit of our minds?
c. Personal Application : What is the basis for holiness? How can we achieve holiness? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.
