Comment on Sabbath: Be Who You Are by Don Litchfield

The phrase, “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Pet. 1:4) is of great interest to me. This may have some relationship to the stone or Rock Jesus told Peter would be the foundation of His church. The foundation of His church is the uniting of our humanity with His Divinity. This how the character of God can be built within us. This is how Jesus’ prayer for us in John 17 KJV ([21] “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” …) is fulfilled in us, the church.

Connecting with His Divinity brings us all together in one Mind and purpose and Love. This is how we are in Him and They are in us. We, then, have this Mind that was also in Christ Jesus making us “ONE.”

Amen!(0)
