Lesson 7: Matthew 24 and 25 – Singing with Inspiration

The introduction to this week’s lesson tells us:
Hymn 212, “Tis Almost Time for the Lord to Come”; and yes,
Hymn 213, “Jesus Is Coming Again”.

We are warned on Sunday:
Hymn 617, “We Are Living, We Are Dwelling”.

How are we to be prepared? – Ellen White says on Monday;
Hymn 272, “Give Me the Bible”.

We will then:
Hymn 210, “Wake, Awake for the Night Is Flying” and
Hymn 598, “Watch, Ye Saints”, because
Hymn 604, “We Know Not the Hour”.

We are encouraged on Wednesday to keep our lamps trimmed:
Hymn 595, “Let Every Lamp Be Burning”.

Thursday talks “about being ready for the return of Christ”. We are to use our talents:
Hymn 634, “Come, All Christians, Be Committed”.

The quarters studies, “Preparation for the End Time” could see a plethora of hymns used every week as our theme hymns:
Hymn 612 “Onward, Christian Soldiers!” and
Hymn 614, “Sound the Battle Cry”
Hymn 368, “Watchman, Blow the Gospel Trumpet” to encourage everyone to be ready. We are to:
Hymn 618, “Stand Up! Stand Up for Jesus!”

Our Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal has such a huge variety of hymns for us to use this quarter. I do hope that you thoroughly enjoy the power singing has in encouraging each of us in these last days of earth’s history. Blessings to you all.

If hymns are listed here that you do not know, and may wish to learn, there are several websites that have audio of the hymns that you may play for your singing time. Here is one example to try http://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/

Matthew 24:27 – “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be”.

Hymn 633, “When We All Get to Heaven”
