End Time Deceptions

Key Thought : Satan’s deceptions about himself, God, and humans are lies to be unveiled and denounced in order to permit God’s efficient protection..

1. Have a volunteer read Revelation 12:7-9.

A. Ask class members to share what the most important point of this text is.
B. What does this teach us about the reality of Satan and the warfare going on here and in the universe?
C. Personal Application : What kind of warfare has the devil waged against you in your life? Share your thoughts.
D. Case Study: One of your relatives states, “Why did God send the devil to the earth? Couldn’t H have destroyed him or banished him to some remote area of the universe? Why did He have to send him here?” How would you reply to your relative?

2. Have a volunteer read Genesis 1:1, 2:3.

A. Ask class members to share what the most important point of this text is.
B Why is the evolutionary theory so diametrically opposed to God’s creation as outlined in the Bible?
E. Personal Application : How does keeping the seventh-day Sabbath show our opposition to and lack of trust in the evolutionary theory? Share your thoughts.
F. Case Study: One of your friends states, “We can reconcile God’s creation with the evolutionary processes that science has discovered. God made everything, but things have evolved in the millions of years since He created.” How would you reply to your relative?

3. Have a volunteer read I Corinthians 15:22,23.

A. Ask class members to share what the most important point of this text is.
B. Why is it important not to believe that the dead are still alive after death?
C. Personal Application : Have you ever been visited by a dead relative or friend, go to a séance, or otherwise have supernatural communications? Share your thoughts.
D. Case Study: One of your neighbors states, “I had a near death experience and I went through a dark tunnel to a great light where Jesus told me to go back, it wasn’t my time yet. How can you refute that when we die, we go to heaven?” How would you reply to your relative?

4. Have a volunteer read Revelation 13:7,8.

A. Ask class members to share what the most important point of this text is.
B. How can we overcome Satan’s deceptions to keep us from worshipping the dragon and the beast?
C. Personal Application : Why would God allow so many well-meaning people to be deceived and led astray, even to the gates of hell? Share your thoughts.
D. Case Study: Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with that person.
